Delmar Byron Steger, age 82, died on July 12, 2023 in Denton, Texas after a short illness. Byron was born January 28, 1941 in Cincinnati. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1959. He was married for 53 years to Linda Maschmeyer Steger before her passing in 2018.

He served in the United States Air Force before working a long career at Mosler Safe Company in Cincinnati, Baltimore, Houston, and Dallas. Byron was an avid golfer, gardener, and fan of Cincinnati Reds baseball. He could be found most weekends on the sidelines of his granddaughters' sporting events.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Todd (Karen) and Terry (Christine), and granddaughters Eleanor, Elizabeth, and Laurel. He is also survived by his siblings, Ronald Steger, Louise Plummer and Carole Hayes, in addition to nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, Gordon Steger.

Interment Services will take place at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati on Saturday, July 22 at 12 p.m.

With heavy heart and shock I am asking that you get the word out that Byron passed away this past Thursday.
