EARL'S OBITUARY

W. Earl Utz, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023. He was born June 28th, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Walter O. and Edna (nee Eggers) Utz. Devoted husband of 60 years to his surviving wife, Patricia “Pattie” (nee Martin); father of Andy Utz (wife, Brenda) and the late Beth Ann Brown (surviving husband, Jeff); beloved “Papa” to his grandchildren, Trent Utz, Emily Brown (fiancé, Alex Brewer), and Jacob Brown.

Earl was a proud graduate of Deer Park High School and University of Cincinnati where he studied Chemistry. As a young man, Earl was very athletic and participated in every sport possible. Later, he maintained his interest in sports and was a dedicated fan of the Bengals, Reds, and UC Bearcats. Earl and Pattie have resided in Evendale for 46 years and are longtime parishioners of Good Shepherd Catholic Church for 28 years. Earl worked for many years as Lubrication Engineer for Emery Industries. He loved our country, classic Corvettes, and his family. Over the years, Earl and his lifelong buddies enjoyed many car shows and weekend trips. He also enjoyed time spent sprucing up his yard and grilling out. Mostly, we will all miss his quiet, caring, and humorous spirit that was so uniquely complimented by his logical and thoughtful mind.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 27th at Community of the Good Shephard Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd in Montgomery. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church in the Community Room. A graveside service will follow in procession to Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home in Evendale is honored to assist with Earl’s arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Community of the Good Shephard Catholic Church www.good-shepherd.org/  or to Hospice of Cincinnati www.hospiceofcincinnati.org
