Gail and I were friends for over 60 years.  She was in my first wedding and I was in her first wedding.  We stayed in touch over the years and visited at each other's homes.  I was so happy for her when she and Denny married.  When they came up from Atlanta, we always got together and I was able to visit them in Atlanta several times.  Denny took such good care of her during her illness and she fought so hard to beat the awful disease of cancer.  She made it much, much longer than was expected.  I am glad that her suffering is over and she is in a beautiful place of peace and joy, but I will miss her terribly.
