Obituary

Daniel W. "Big Dan" Bullard, Jr., 81, of Anderson Township, passed away on April 16, 2022, at Mercy Anderson Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Daniel Sr. and Nellie Bullard.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Bullard; children, Kimberly Barnes (nee Bullard) and Daniel Wesley Bullard III (Cheryl); grandchildren, Danielle Howes (Billy), Rebeccah Lee (Brady), Jacob Bullard, Mitchell Bullard, and Madalyn Bullard; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Aubrey, Harper, and Rowdy.

Our Dad was a wonderful man, he grew up in Deer Park, Ohio. Played basketball and baseball. He was happiest coaching his son’s baseball teams. Dad also was an avid Model Railroader and enjoyed planting daylilies and dahlia, reading magazines, watching westerns, adventure movies, and Harry Potter, when Star Wars came out we saw it 6 times at the theater that year. Dad loved a variety of music that he shared with all of us. He had a deep love of the finest of ice creams Cincinnati had to offer, Aglamesis and Graeter’s. He believed in dessert first. Most of all he loved being a Papa. And he could always be heard by his jolly laugh.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 W. Main Street, Amelia on Saturday, May 14 from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 pm.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori, 4460 Berwick Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227.

Sure will miss you Danny!  We had many good times starting in the late 40's and in the 50's and early 60's.  We were good buddies all the way through grade school to after graduation from high school and beyond.  We played together on the Rossmoyne Braves in 1952 and Mr. Russell's Jr. High basketball team in 1954, I could go on and on about our good times, but there is not enoungh space here.

Will miss you my good friend,  John (Jack) Seigla
