OBITUARY OF CAROL RUWE

Carol Ann Ruwe, 81, of North Port, FL and formerly of Cincinnati, OH passed away on March 27, 2022. She was born on December 14, 1940 to her parents in Cincinnati, OH. Carol graduated from Deer Park High School in the year of 1959 and was a cheerleading captain during her time there. She was a loving mother and wife of 59 years. Carol was dedicated to her family and was a great cook just like her mom was. She loved to travel with family, road trips and beyond. Carol enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. She sang in church choir and music always made her smile. Carol was also fond of swimming, boating, and ice skating.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald M. Ruwe; three daughters; Marla C. Ellery, Lisa A. (Dana H.) Smith, Donna S. (Mike) Bennington; three grandchildren, Josh, Casey, and Jessica; one great-grandchild, Rose; brother, Jay Williams; and sister, Pam Williams.  

Carol was preceded in death by two sisters, Cindy Meyer and Judy Williams; her parents, James and Mildred Williams; and son, Ricky Ruwe.

A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Tidewell Hospice in Carol’s memory. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is in charge of arrangements.

Gail Heinisch (Brannon)

I remember Carol fondly.  We had some good times during high school.  She always had a smile.   She had the best house for slumber parties of which there were several.  So sorry for your loss, Don.
